The brief
Coca-Cola commissioned three bespoke installations for the London Eye, combining brand visibility, visitor engagement and practical functionality.
The project included an illuminated Infinity Box product display, a suspended bottle installation and a custom vending cart designed to be visible from the London Eye itself.
Challenge
Each installation presented different creative and technical challenges, from developing engaging physical displays to integrating lighting, refrigeration and storage within bespoke structures.
The designs needed to balance Coca-Cola's established visual identity with the practical demands of a high-profile visitor attraction.
The solution
Infinity Box
I developed the original concept and designed and fabricated an illuminated product display using an infinity mirror effect to create the illusion of multiple rows of Coca-Cola bottles.
The work included machining the wooden structure, installing the lighting and wiring the LEDs, with the final painted finish completed externally.
Illuminated Bottle Installation
A bespoke suspended lighting installation featuring Coca-Cola bottle forms, developed using 3D scanning and printing to create lightweight illuminated replicas suitable for positioning above visitors.
Vending Cart
I designed a custom vending cart combining refrigeration, retail storage and a compact serving area, with prominent Coca-Cola branding visible from the London Eye pods above.
Working from my CAD designs, a specialist engineering company manufactured the structural frame. I then completed the exterior using Dibond panels, working with fabrication assistance to bring the design to life.
The outcome
Three distinct installations developed from concept through to physical delivery, bringing together creative thinking, product development, engineering coordination and practical fabrication.
The completed project combined Coca-Cola's established brand identity with bespoke physical experiences designed for the unique environment of the London Eye.
